Always popular—and the very first Mosaikit—we have revised and updated our alphabet with a new, richer tile mix that contains a whole variety of vitreous, ceramic, crystal, glitter and lustre tiles so that the finished letter looks even more gorgeous than before. We've also taken a look at some of the letter shapes, improving them and making them slightly 'chunkier'.
This is a great first kit for young children to start recognising letter shapes and they will love doing their initial.
We always include more tiles than needed so you can tile the letter completely randomly or sort into bands of colour and tone.
The finished letter can be hung on a bedroom door (so it is also a nice way for teenagers to mark their territory) or it looks really fabulous in a box frame (not included in the kit but available from IKEA!).
We've even included a keyhole float mount, a screw and wallplug, to make it easy to display, and like all of our kits, everything else that you need is in the natural cotton bag including the glue and instructions.
The kits are a great party idea, each guest can make their own initial, and they even have the party bag to take home.

Each kit contains:
- A baseboard cut to the shape of the design with a pre-etched grid making it easy to lay and align the tiles accurately.
- A colourful assortment of 1 cm mosaic tiles containing, typically, glitter, crystal, plain vitreous and glazed ceramic. (Spare tiles are always included.)
- A bottle of washable, child-friendly PVA glue with an applicator nozzle (so no need for a brush).
- A printed sheet with step-by-step instructions and a drawing of the finished design for you to follow.
- The natural cotton bag also gives you a larger version of the design and can be used for storage or play after the kit has been completed.
- The mosaic baseboard is fitted with a mounting loop so that the finished piece can be hung for display with string or ribbon. (Where a design contains either a base or keyhole float mount, this is indicated in the description of the kit)
